 My name is Dan Lycholaj and I am the webmaster and  site owner.What is this site and our group of friends about?.Well in simple terms my family,friends and I love the outdoors and all the opportunities for  enjoying nature while backpacking ,camping ,horseback riding ( only my wife Cathy and Daughter Larissa) or just messing around with my longbow and  traditional archery gear some of which I build,shoot and will eventually offer for sale on this site.

      I began fishing with my dad in the Argentinian river called the "Parana" ( which is a tributary of the Amazon water basin)when only 6 years old and got the bug. Still have it at 54!.  The Parana allegedly had piranha in it and I remember the old guys drawing straws to see who would go over the side of the boat to free a snagged hook and maybe get a "love bite"..what a hoot. I now have a half dozen red bellied piranhas in my aquarium and remember that scene every time I feed them goldfish.

 I also "hunted rabbits" with my dad using a .177 cal air rifle as a "weapon". They all got away; I however did not. I was hooked for life on the love of the outdoors and now enjoy them with my 15 yr old son William and a bunch  of knucklehead friends of like mind. 

Gerald Price- Another key member of our group.Gerald was in the army and took a bullet in the Gulf War..you remember that one don't ya? He brings much needed experience to the table with his rapelling,ropehandling,general survival and outdoor skills learned in the service and woods of Pennsylvania.
